But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He has Risen, as He said.”

(Matthew 28:5,6)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are doing well, and praising God for the wonderful doors opening in our ministry. God is moving in a Mighty way as we see and hear all the things happening around us. Our own country seems to be so divided, and that really hurts. But there is good news! As the angel said, do not be afraid, for He has Risen! Jesus is alive! He sits at the Right hand of His Father in heaven. Since God is our Father, and Jesus calls Him Father too, then Jesus is our Brother! We have a Powerful, Loving, Brother who watches over us, and hears our prayers. He brings our prayers to the Father and we know that somehow they will be answered. We don’t always know how, or when, but for sure, they will be answered! Praise Him!

As we go through life, and go through the ups and downs, it can be so easy to get discouraged at times. Things happen; we get hurt by people, we get disappointed, we wonder if we made wrong choices, especially in marriage choices. We find it difficult to forgive, and sometimes we end up with something worse in the end! But God..... our Father God.... and our Brother, are there to cheer us on, to give us hope, to encourage us, to step in to help where needed, and to...answer our prayers in the best way for us. Everything that Jesus taught us should teach us that there is always hope for our future! He is always there to lift us up, to encourage us, to see to it that we grow strong and learn to follow Him and His guidance, which is found in His Word, the Bible.

On Resurrection Sunday we rejoice because He is alive! We rejoice because He has Risen, and we have an Advocate in Heaven who will go to the Father to plead our case before Him. “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb. 7:25) How awesome is that? We have an Advocate, Who hears our prayers, Who loves us, Who died a horrible death on the cross of Calvary, who is now Alive, Who sent His Holy Spirit to live in us, so that we can live the Christian life.

We have so much to be thankful for not just on Resurrection Sunday, but all the time! We are not alone in this world trying to trudge along and just make the best of it! We have all of heaven backing us up, and all of God’s blessings to be had if we would only accept them! God can heal a marriage, He can bring that wayward child home again, He can heal diseases, He can give favor for that job we seek, He can meet our needs, whatever they may be. We simply need to trust Him! Yes, it is true, sometimes we have to wait a long time to see something happen. That is because we have free will. God gave man free will so that when we make our choice, it will be because we want it that way, and He will never go against that. When praying for someone to come to Him we simply pray for God to help them to see the error of their ways, to seek repentance, and to turn their lives over to Him. For Him to make a way for it to happen. As we read the Bible, and as we pray and grow closer to God, and His Son Jesus, we grow more and more in the knowledge of Him.

Do you know Jesus as Your Lord and Savior? Have you ever asked Him to come into your life and to take over your life? If not, He is waiting for that invitation. He does not force Himself on anyone, He waits to hear from you. If this is so, please, take time out right now to do this.... pray this prayer with me, and if you pray it with all of your heart, Jesus will come and live in you and you will have a brand new life. We are all sinners, not one of us is perfect. That is why Jesus came, so that we can be set free, so that we can go to heaven someday. And, in the meantime, if we develop that relationship, if we talk to Him every day, if we read His Word (the Bible) and follow Him, He will be there for us, He will hear our prayers, and answer.

Please pray this prayer with me.

Lord Jesus I need You. Thank You for loving me. I confess to You that I am a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. Thank You for dying for my sins. Come into my life right now, as my Lord and Savior. Take over my life, and help me to live for You. Thank You Jesus, that you have heard my prayer. Thank You that You now live in me, as my Lord and Savior. Help me to live the Christian life. Help me to walk with You every day of my life, and follow You. I love You Lord. Amen.”

Please tell someone what you have just done. Tell them how you have received Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior. It seems to take hold once we tell someone. There is no turning back. From here on you are a child of God, and now it is up to you to grow in Him. Start reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament. Read a chapter a day and then keep reading on to the next books. If you do not go to a church, find one, and go. If you need help in finding one, please call our prayer line at 718-238-4600 and tell the prayer partner what you need. I will find one in your zip code area that will help you to grow. If you would like literature regarding this, call that number, and we will send you something.

Congratulations, this is the first day of your life! Write this date down on your calendar, as it is your re-birth date. You are now Born Again. If you were already born again, then feel free to use this letter to encourage someone else. Let me pray... Father, in Jesus Name I lift up this reader to You and place him or her in Your Loving arms. Fill this person with Your Holy Spirit, and help this person to grow more in You. Thank You Father! Amen. Happy Resurrection Sunday! God bless you!

In His Service,

Pastor Barbara
