"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1,2)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are fine, and enjoying this time of summer evangelism. As we walk the streets we look for opportunities to greet people and be a witness to the love of God. I just love summer!

I was recently told by my doctor that I must make time to walk twice a day; in the morning before ministry, and after dinner. I realized then that I really had to take charge of my health! My doctor told me that he started to do that himself a while ago, and he has participated in marathons, and even won a few gold ribbons. So, now I had to think of how I could compete with him! I don’t see myself wining any gold ribbons, but.... however, I do see myself walking with more of a purpose than my physical health. (Although that is important too!)

I am not one to say God told me this, or God told me that... however, He has spoken to me at various times in my life. This time He gave me the Scripture on the top of this page. (Hebrews 12:1,2). I asked Him what that meant regarding what I had just heard from my doctor? He was very clear with the explanation....He asked, Who do I have in heaven?” I said “You God.” He asked me “What do you desire more than anything?” And I answered “A deep relationship with You God, one where I can truly hear from You, and have a growing knowledge of Who You are, and what You are thinking of.” He asked “Where do you think your strength comes from?” And I answered, “From You Lord.” He then led me to understand that through our relationship, through my drawing near, I would gain in His strength and “run” this race on earth. As I took care of my physical body, He would be my strength and we could have a great time doing this together! As I walk, I could mediate upon Him, and learn from Him. This would be our special time together! Glory!

Needless to say, I am starting on my journey with Him now. I know I will wake up tired so many times, and the weather isn’t always the best, but I will have my meeting with my Lord and Savior, and I will not let that go! I know there will be times when it is snowing or icy out, and I will not be able to do this, but I will keep up these special moments of journeying with my Lord as I walk throughout my home, and during my quiet times with Him. There is so much that He wants us to know! His desire is for us! We can live in His supernatural realm constantly as we focus ourselves on Him and His Word. He wants to use us for His glory! He wants us healthy in spirit, soul and body. He wants us to focus on Him and be of good courage. We are living in hard times right now, but our God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He is the Great I AM! He is our Lord and Savior and His desire is for us to receive all that He has to give. He cannot give it unless we stop and listen and receive His Word. His Word is life and truth and healing! Let us say this together, out loud!

Blessed be the Lord God. The God of Israel,

Who only does wondrous things!

And blessed be His glorious name

And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.

Amen and Amen.” Ps. 72:18,19

As we continue to worship, as we continue to give Him our all, we will grow more and more in Him! His desire is to bring us to heavenly places, where we can truly understand all that He has done for us. He wants to use us for His Glory. He wants to set the captives free! He wants us to truly appreciate all He has done for us, so that we can really and truly know Him and operate in His Holy Spirit. He wants us to know that when we lay hands upon the sick, they shall get well. He wants us to know that Holy Spirit has given us Gifts to use for the edification of the saints.

As we step out in faith He will show us who we can bless. We are to be His hands and His feet. When others see us, the goal is for them to see Jesus in us! Psalm 73:28 tells us “But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.” This is the race we are running. To have such a deep, powerful relationship with Him that as difficult as our race can be at times, that He is backing us up! This takes discipline! I would love to sleep in and say, “tomorrow is another day, I will rest today.” But God is standing at the finish line, to welcome all into eternity all who finish their race! Let us boldly focus on that finish line! Let us run our race with joy and boldness declaring the works of the Lord!

Let us pray.... Father, in Jesus Mighty Name I come before You to worship and adore You. Thank You Father, for sending Jesus to love us so much and die for us so that we can meet You in heaven some day. Thank You for Your love, and Your mercy. I lift up this reader and ask that You touch him or her in a special way. You know the needs here Father. Strengthen, encourage and fill this person with Your love. Hold this person in Your arms and let him or her know how valued he or she is in Your sight. If healing is needed, please touch this person now and heal for Your Glory. Thank You Father. Amen. God bless you!

In His Service,
