“And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."   (Luke 2:7)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are all fine, and praising God for the 28 years that we are in Ministry. We celebrated in October, which is the month that we started in 1989, and we are still celebrating!  Well, we are, because we serve a Mighty God, and feel so very privileged to serve Him!  Nothing is impossible to Him and He is always so very Faithful to hear and answer prayers.  Lately we have led people to the Lord almost every day!  People who are hungry for more are calling our Hope Connection Prayer Line (718) 238-4600.  People are hurting, our country and world are in desperate times, and people who need answers to their prayers are pressing in, calling for agreement in prayer.  Recently a 20 year old woman who worked as a stripper and went to a fortune teller, became frightened because of it all.  Our prayer partner took time with her, and led her to deliverance and then to the Lord.  The woman was crying and was so happy to know that Jesus forgives our sins when we repent and are truly sorry, and that she was now forgiven and set free to know Him, love Him, and serve Him.  We sent her helpful literature, and we will follow up with her to see how she is doing.  This is what it is all about my friend.  People need to be saved, healed, and set free to live the life that God has ordained for them!  Our Father God in heaven knew that we, mankind, would need a Savior, someone who would take our place as the Sacrificial Lamb for the forgiveness of our sins.  His Son told Him that He would come, that He would be the Sacrificial Lamb and die for the sins of mankind.  Can You imagine how His Father felt?  This was His Son!  He was going to have to suffer horrendously and die for our sins!  But of course, the Good News is that He would raise from the dead as Lord and Savior!!

However....as we continue... When we think of how God chose Mary to be the mother of His Son, and how she had to be a virgin, and unmarried, it is amazing to consider that by all natural means, this just could not happen!  God's Son had to come to earth as all mankind comes.  Mary, a virgin, was overshadowed by Holy Spirit and became pregnant with the Son of God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Since she was engaged to Joseph at the time, what must he have thought, and her family and neighbors, too? It had to be so hard for her, even though she held that secret in her heart.  Thank God for the angel who appeared to Joseph to let him know that the Child she was carrying, that was conceived in her, was of the Holy Ghost, and that His Name is Jesus, and He would save His people from their sins.  So Joseph took her as his wife and did not know her till she had brought her first born son into the world.  He called the precious Baby "Jesus". (Matthew 1:18)  When it was time for Jesus to be born, Mary and Joseph could find no place to rest, but in Bethlehem an innkeeper whose rooms were filled, allowed them to stay in the Barn with the animals.  Imagine, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, came into this world in such humble beginnings!  There were signs of His birth.... The Star in the sky which led the wise men to the Jesus.  When they saw Jesus, they knelt down and worshiped Him, and gave gifts.  Therefore, if we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, then what we should be following is this; Bring our hearts to the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and celebrate His birth.  When we celebrate His birth we also celebrate His life!  That the Son of God, the second Person of the Holy Trinity was born into this world of a virgin.  He came with humble beginnings.  There were no rockets bursting in the air, there was a single star, a very bright star, that guided the men and others to the humble manger that held the Son of the Living God.  He left His place of honor in Heaven to come to lowly earth, to live among sinners, to feel everything that we feel, to know heartbreak, to know pain, to know the loss of loved ones, to know the hurt of betrayal, to be tempted by the devil, and to see the torment of those who are possessed.  His mission was to save mankind from its sins, to defeat the devil in his maneuvers against people, to bring the Good News of salvation, healing, and deliverance.  He was sent to us to be the sacrificial Lamb, to suffer and die for our sins so that we can be made right with God, our Heavenly Father. On Easter we are reminded of this, but actually, it all begins when Jesus said send Me to His Father.

Because of Him, we can be forgiven of our sins if we are truly sorry, and we can be made Born Again.  We can receive God's Son into our heart, to live for Him all the days of our lives.  He is waiting.... if you have never received Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior, and you if want to right now, please say this prayer with me.  Don't put it off.. Today is the day Salvation. Today you can be made whole, you can be made brand new.  Please repeat this prayer....!

"Father, I repent (means to turn around) of all my sins.  I am sorry for my sins.  I ask You to forgive me of all my sins, to cleanse me and make me whole.  Wash me clean, Lord.  I ask You, Jesus, to come into my life as my Lord and Savior.  Live Your life in me, and I will live for You all the days of my life.  Thank You for hearing my prayer.  I believe am Born Again and made whole.  My past is gone.  I am a new creation in Christ Jesus!  Thank You, Father! Happy Birthday, Jesus, I love You! Amen!"

When we shop for gifts this Christmas, let us not get all frazzled and worn out.  Let us remember the reason why we give gifts.  It is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Let us simplify our Christmas, keep Jesus close to our heart, and enjoy.  Father in Jesus Name, I ask you to bless this reader, fill this person with Your love, Your peace, and Your joy always, and especially in this season of celebration as we celebrate the Birth of Your Son.

Happy Birthday Jesus! Amen!
