“O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.”   (Song of Solomon 2:14)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you, and your loved ones. Here we are in the second month of brand New Year. The holidays are over, and we are settling back into our routines. This is the year of New Beginnings, and we are trusting God for wonderful surprises and joys this year! Be prepared for the unexpected! Be prepared for a kiss from God!

While pondering upon the ways of the Lord, and how He works to see His purposes fulfilled, I suddenly began to understand how He uses even worldly things to get our attention. This month Valentine’s Day will bring people together; husbands and wives, sweethearts, parents, children, and friends. All will focus on one  After all the activity of Christmas and New Years,  God has our attention once again, and He is wooing us back to Him. He is saying “Be still... quiet yourself, and come with me to the secret places. Let me see you and hear your voice once again. You are beautiful to Me, and your voice is sweet. I want to spend time with you, come into My Presence and let us talk. I love you, and I miss you.”

As we sit by a fire, and gaze at the beauty of the winter sky we can focus in on His love, and His presence. We can talk to Him, and He will listen. And if we truly enter into that quiet, secret place, the innermost recesses of our mind, we can hear from Him. That quiet stillness gives us rest from our weary souls and restores our spirit. Jesus is calling us to a most wonderful place, a place of hope, of healing, of restoration. He is waiting for us to respond. Will we take that special time to respond to Him? Will we put aside the busyness of the day with all its demands and simply enter into the secret place?

Our life depends on what we choose to do. We have a Lover who wants so much to love on us. We have a Lover who is never asleep, or never too busy for us. He stands and He waits patiently. Oh, if only we could fathom the depth of His love and mercy! If only we could fully comprehend His unending, unfailing, perfect love! We may know something about love here on earth. Yes, we love our spouses, we love our children, we love our parents and relatives and friends. Yet all this love is imperfect. There will be disappointments, there will be hurts, there will be times when even if everyone is all around us, we will still feel alone. This is because we are imperfect human beings.

We may be Born Again, Spirit-filled, and on fire for God, but even then, we are imperfect. We can never satisfy another’s longing for a perfect love. No one can ever satisfy us in that way. God may give us glimpses of it, but it is not lasting. It is ordained to be as such because there is only one Person who can love so perfectly and unconditionally. That is Jesus, who was willing to be beaten and nailed to a Cross to suffer and die for our sins! No one else could ever do that, it had to be the Son of God, who gave up His place in Heaven to come to earth and become a man just as we are! He was fully God and fully Man. Jesus became sin, He became imperfect as we are on that Cross, and His Father had to turn away from Him because He is a Holy God and cannot look upon sin. This was all planned for our salvation! How precious is our Savior, Whom God raised  from the dead, and declared victory over sin! The price was paid! Jesus ever lives now to make intercession for us! He is our very best Friend. How much did this love cost Him? How much do we owe Him?

Jesus calls us to a special place, a secret place, where we can, covered by His precious Blood, enter into the Holy of Holies. How awesome is that!! There are no words to describe the debt of gratitude we owe Him! Because of His obedience, we can have our sins forgiven and we can be made right with God! If you have been away from Him, and desire to draw near once again, it is simple to do. If you have never asked Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, and you would like to do that now, it is simple to do also. Just repeat these words:

“Lord Jesus I need You. Thank You for loving me. I confess to You that I am a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. I am sorry. I want to live for You. Come into my life as my Lord and Savior, wash me of my sins, and make me whole. I will live for You all the days of my life. Thank You Jesus, that I am forgiven, and I am washed clean. Thank You that beginning today, I am Born Again! Thank You for my brand new life! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.”

Praise God! As of today, you are made brand new! The old is gone, and there are  brand new beginnings for you. Call upon Him today, sit in your comfortable chair and talk to Him. Read His Word, and if you have been away from church, go back and hear the Word of God so that you can grow. Make this your priority for this New Year. Now that you have settled down to a normal routine, make time every day to spend quality time with Him. There is no other love more powerful or perfect than His love! Only He can satisfy that longing in your heart. He is there, calling out to you. Go into the secret place, and talk to Him. Quiet yourself, and listen, and He will speak to you. He knows the desires of your heart, but He wants to hear it from you. He wants a relationship with you. I would like to pray with you... “Father, In Jesus Mighty and Precious Name, I come before You and worship You in spirit and in truth. Father, I lift up this reader to You and I ask You today to give him or her a special experience of Your perfect unfailing love. Lord Jesus, enter into the heart of the reader, and pour out Your thoughts of love and healing and peace. Touch the reader Lord, You know what he or she needs. I ask You today to meet that need, and fill the reader with Your Divine Presence. Strengthen and uphold this person, and give encouragement. Let today be a brand new beginning! A beginning of a wonderful new relationship with you, and a wonderful new year. Thank You Jesus. Amen. God bless you!
