CHN is a network of volunteers from churches throughout the United States of America and throughout the nations. Our mission and passion is to carry on the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ.

February 2012

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” (Rev. 5:8)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are fine, and are so blessed to be able to minister around the world through our phone lines! During the winter months, our calls come in rapidly as people are home more and thinking more about their challenges. Our anointed prayer partners are cozy at home answering these calls through call forwarding. Those strong enough to face the winter chill come to the office. CHN has wonderful volunteers, anointed people of prayer coming from all backgrounds and from young to old. We have several who are in their 90s and are still going strong! Their desire to minister keeps them going, and they are so very faithful in this calling by God. Bless them!

How are things going with you? Now that the holidays are over, have you settled back a bit to relax? This month we celebrate Valentine’s Day, a day when we honor those we love. It is something we should do every day, but this one day is special, giving gifts of candy and flowers, etc. It is a wonderful day to also think of our love for Jesus, and His love for us! No greater love has anyone but the love of Him who died for our sins and now lives to make intercession for us in heaven. Just think, when we pray, our prayers go up as incense in golden bowls and presented before the Lamb who has redeemed us by His blood. What a powerful picture of what goes on in heaven on our behalf! The shedding of His blood provided a permanent sacrifice and a permanent covenant bond between God and man. His Blood was applied to the very altar of God in heaven where once and for all, it obtained redemption from sin from those who receive Him. (Heb. 9:12) And this includes His personal prayers on our behalf! How powerful is that? Glory! I love knowing that Jesus loves me so much that He saved me, and is also very active in my life, praying for me and cheering me on! Glory!

When we pray for others, our prayers go directly to Jesus and He not only hears, but answers! This is why we love doing what we do so much! We love to pray with our callers, knowing that our prayers will not only be heard by Jesus, but answered. Sometimes they are answered in ways we do not expect, but they are answered and always for our good. He is our Mediator, both for salvation, for the remission of sin, release from bondage or imprisonment, for forgiveness with canceling out all judgment and punishment. Glory!

Heaven must be a busy place! Can you just picture all that goes on there? Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is busy interceding for us. His angels are watching over us. (Ps. 91:11) So when we pray, our prayers are presented to Jesus, who then acts on our behalf sending forth angels to do warfare, protect us, and bring the answers to our prayers. Wow! What great love He has for us!

When we make the Lord our refuge and strength by trusting Him to take care of our cares and needs, and seeking His counsel by spending time in prayer, He is Faithful. If He is Faithful, how much more should we every single day, be faithful to Him? If we only take the time to talk to Him in emergencies, our relationship will suffer. This is something that we should do every day of our lives, whether in sickness, or health, or times of trouble or times of refreshing. It can be so easy to just keep going along as long as everything is okay. However, would that work even in our earthly relationships? How would it be if our child was doing well in school, so we decide it is not necessary to talk to his or her teacher, or talk to the child about what he or she is learning, and what is going on in their life? What kind of relationship would we have?

February is a great month to get back on track with our relationship with Jesus. It can be a time where we are indoors mostly, because of the weather. It gets dark earlier, so we are home earlier at night if possible. This can be the perfect opportunity to cuddle up in a cozy chair, under a soft, warm blanket, and open up our Bible and read. Have you ever read the Scriptures in a personal way? For instance, in Ps. 91:11 we can read “ For He shall give His angels charge over me, instead of “you.” Try it, and you will understand Scripture in a new way and make it a part of you! Let us also take time to just speak to the Lord, let Him know what we are thinking. He already knows, but would like to hear it from yourself. Put on some worship music, enjoy the warmth, and relax while talking to your Best Friend, the One who loves you most, the One who waits to hear from you! Know that He loves you so very much and longs for your fellowship! Know that your prayers are as sweet incense to Him! Draw close to Him, and be encouraged in all that He has done for you, and will do. Keep Him on your mind as you go about the day, and talk to Him. This can be done while waiting for that bus, while riding on the train to work, while walking down the street. Try it today, and then make it a habit and draw near to the One who loves you the most!

Let us pray... Father, in Jesus Name, I lift up this reader to you, and we come before Your Throne of Grace and worship and adore You. We thank You for Your love! We thank You for all that You have done for us, and all that You are doing. Thank You for hearing our prayers! Lord, we want to draw nearer to You! We want Your Holy Presence! Reveal Yourself to us Lord, and encourage us in Your Word. Make it Rhema to us! We love You so much, and thank You for all that You have done, and are doing. We praise Your Holy Name and glorify You! Amen and amen!

God bless you!

In His Service,
