"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God, for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."   (2 Cor. 10:4-5)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are all fine, and praising God that our winter is over! It is a blessing to be able to go out to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and watch as tiny buds grow into magnificent flowers. Everything is colorful now, the grass is green, the trees are full with beautiful leaves, and new life has sprung! Now we can get outdoors, and visit with neighbors and see how they are doing. It has been a long winter, but now we can fully enjoy the new season in our life.

So many have had a rough winter, whether it was because of Hurricane Sandy, or lack of finances to have heat in their homes, or illness or family situations. Whatever it was, spring brings in new hope! After being in battle during the winter season, we really have to begin warfare now in order to enjoy our new season. Our minds and emotions may have suffered from things going on in the natural, and sometimes if we allow, our emotions can get the better of us. This is the time to step outside and declare that what God has promised is true and amen, and that He has wonderful things in store for us!

The Bible also tells us that "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."  (1 Cor. 2:9) Praise God!

So how do we enter in to all that God has prepared for us? We hold on to His Word! We are in a battle here on earth, but Paul tells us to go to war and pull down those things which exalt itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ! (2 Cor. 10:4-5) My friend, every battle is won in the arena of your mind which is the place of combat!

It can be so easy to fall into the "woe is me" category, where we ponder upon our problems, our past, and all the things that weigh us down. Sometimes it even feels comfortable because it is something that we are familiar with! We lose the expectancy of a way out, we lose the expectancy of what God can do in our situation. We literally give up, and feel that it is better without expectations. This is an attack of the enemy! God does NOT want us to be in that place! He has already given us all that we need, and now is the time to rise up and take it by force!  God does not want us to be ignorant of His promises, He wants to speak to us, and the way that He does is through His Word! The Bible is the living Word of God, it is God speaking to us right now, right here!

When Jesus suffered and died on the Cross, it was for our salvation, so that we can, through our relationship with Him have a home in heaven. It was also for the here and now, for us to receive all of His blessings and promises right now, right where we are! Because of the Blood that He shed, we are already in heavenly places!

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace by which He made us accepted in the Beloved."

Therefore, now that we know where we are in Him, isn't it time to begin to accept all that He has to give us?  Once more, the battlefield is the mind. What thoughts are we thinking? Are they thoughts of hope, of love, of joy, of promise? Are we receiving all that He has to give? Or are we griping and complaining and thinking of the worst all the time?

Where do you want to be right now? The Holy Spirit has filled us with the Divine Power in God. He is the force that equips us for service. He makes believers effective in pulling down strongholds, destroying the works of darkness, and brings strength to our souls to move in the Divine power of God. This also includes you for yourself in your situation. The Holy Spirit equips us for battle and we need to receive from Him too! So what thoughts are running through your mind right now? Are they thoughts of discouragement and lost hopes, or are they thoughts of God's promises? God has great things in store for you! Now is the time to receive. Springtime has come!

Take your Bible and go outdoors to relax under a tree. Breathe in the sweet smell of Springtime, going into Summer. Fill your mind and heart with God's Word and promises. Know that winter is past, it is over. Now is the time to look up at the sky, and watch the clouds go by. Drink in the sunshine and  meditate upon the Scriptures and declare "It is well with my soul!"

Father, I thank You for this reader. I thank You for filling his or her heart with Your thoughts, which are thoughts of love and peace and joy. Strengthen this soul and body to fully receive from You, and enjoy all that You have given to him or her. Thank You for Your Sacrifice on the Cross  and all that You have suffered  so that this reader could be saved, healed and delivered from the past. The past is over, new life has sprung up and with it comes salvation, healing and deliverance from all that binds and hurts. It is finished!  Praise You Lord! Thank You! Amen!

God bless you as you pray for others!
