If anyone of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” (James1:5,6)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are finally moving along now with sunshine and days of resting, simply enjoying the beauty around us. This is a beautiful month for weddings, and graduations, and enjoying God’s creation. Everything is in full bloom, rich with color. What a blessing!

After our long hard winter, we can focus on His Goodness and mercy towards us. Many of us have gone through some tough times this winter, but we are here! He has brought us through! Jesus tells us to ask in faith, without doubting, and we wonder sometimes how we can do that! When we look around and see what we see, it sometimes looks like it is an impossible situation, doesn’t it? Yet, James tells us to ask for wisdom from God who gives liberally and without reproach, and He will answer us. Wisdom.... we all need it, don’t we? There are so many issues of life that call for it. Should we marry the person we are going out with? Is he, she, the right one? What career should I choose? I love doing one thing, but the money is in something else! Which doctor should I see for my ailment? What is the best thing to do for my parents now that they need so much help? What school is best for my child? I can go on and on! There are so many important decisions that we have to make in life! And any one of them can determine our future or the future of our loved ones.

Sometimes we can get caught in the middle of things, and somehow, quickly make a rash decision. And then we have to take time to fix the situation, as if we always could! When I was young, I made that mistake many times. After a while, I realized that I was not as smart as I thought I was! But through God’s Grace, He pulled me through, and I quickly learned that I should go to Him first with anything going on in my life. Just as parents want to know what is happening in their children’s lives, God, our Father, wants to know too. Actually He knows, but... He waits for us to tell Him! Just as parents want to give liberally to their children, Father God wants to give also, but above and beyond what we could ever think of! He gives liberally and without reproach! Thank You Father!

When we move out in faith, there is nothing impossible to God. He wants us to run our race with perseverance, with faith and with hope! Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to look to

Jesus, who is the “author and finisher” of our faith: who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross.” Jesus kept His eyes on His Father and what was before Him as He went to the Cross. He did not waver in His faith that He would rise and see His Father in the glory of heaven. He did not waver in His faith that His sacrifice on the Cross would bring redemption to mankind to all who would believe. Glory!!

We all have a mission here on earth! You have a divine purpose for your life! We all do! God has brought us into this world to know Him, love Him, and serve Him all the days of our life. (My old Catholic training was on target with this!) God has called you, and me, to be a light in this world. He sees the suffering, He sees the pain, the disappointments, the hardships in people’s lives. He wants us to see that too, not to simply give a gift, although that is also called for. We are to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and give when God calls us to. But we are also called to pray.

Nothing happens unless we pray! The Bible tells us in Heb. 4:15 (KJV)

“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

We are told to pray, and to come boldly before our High Priest, Jesus Christ, who has gone through every thing we go through now here on earth. He understands, He knows what you and I go through! He went through it too! He is our Lord, our Savior, our Master, our Friend, the Son of God, Priest. He is our Mediator, a go-between. He intercedes between us and God. Jesus Christ, true God and true Man who was truly human, felt pain, felt sorrow, felt disappointments, felt betrayals, and so much more.

When we pray we pray in the Name of Jesus. We go before God our Father in His Name, so when God sees us, He sees Jesus. God has appointed Jesus to act on our behalf, so.... when we pray in Jesus’ Name, Jesus takes up our case to present it to His Father. Therefore, when we pray, we are to pray with confidence that Jesus hears, and presents our situation to the Father, and the Father will not deny Jesus what He asks for. Praise Him!

There is much to pray for besides our personal requests. I have included a prayer sheet in this mailing with requests for our Nation, for Israel, and for what is happening in our world. Would you please take a time slot to pray every day for the items listed on the blue sheet? Our Agape Prayer Team Members can make a difference! Thank you!

Father, in Jesus Precious Name, we thank You for all that You have done in our lives. We thank You for our salvation, that someday we will see You face to face! Father, I ask for a special blessing upon this reader. I ask You to meet all of his or her needs according to Your riches in glory. Bless, protect, and encourage your son or daughter and their loved ones. For Your glory, amen and amen!
