"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Heb. 4:15,16)

Dear Friend,

Happy Thanksgiving! Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are praising God and thanking Him for the wonderful things He has done in the past year for our partners and our ministry. No matter what we go through in life, if we have Jesus, we know that we have the victory.

There is nothing that can happen to us that He did not go through as He walked the earth. It is just so amazing to think of how Jesus, who was all God and all Man, loved us so much that He was willing to go through all the things that we do on earth. As we celebrate Thanksgiving this month, let us remember His life, death, and Resurrection, and how He humbled Himself to really and truly feel what it was like to be tempted, to be hungry, to be thirsty, to be rejected and despised by those He came to save. He felt pain. When the crown of thorns surrounded his head He bled, it hurt! When the cat o' nine tails whip stripped his flesh, He could not even groan from the pain it was so horrendous. My friend,  the stripes on His back were for our healing, for every disease there is.  When the nails were pounded into his hands and feet, He convulsed. When He hung on the Cross, He said "It is finished." (John 19:30) He did it all. He lived and died for us, so that we can have life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10)

When we pray crying out to Him in pain whether it is emotional or physical, there is nothing that He has not gone through Himself. He knows exactly how we feel! When He went to the Cross it was for us, for our healing and our salvation. He took it all upon Himself so that we can have the victory. By accepting Him as Lord and Savior, we  get to live with Him for eternity in heaven. He did this of His own free will because He loves us so much!

We receive calls all the time from people who feel so alone, who feel as if there is no hope, and no one who really understands and cares. We have all felt like that at times! This is when we have to remember our High Priest, the One who lived and died to save us, and who always makes intercession for us before His Father.

If you are going through a trial right now, and crying out to Jesus, asking "when it will ever end!" just stop for moment to  imagine for a while what it must be like in heaven. Isaiah speaks of the Throne...

"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.' At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke."  (Isaiah 6:14)

Let us draw into the inner circle now, where God is, where Jesus is, and where the elders are.

We read in Rev. 5:8 "...Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls of incense, which are the prayers ot the saints."  The prayers of God's people are as sweet to Him as incense. This has nothing to do with where a person is at in their spiritual life. By God's grace He hears and answers the prayers of all who come to Him! None of us in our own right can consider ourselves worthy, it is only when we are covered by the Blood of  the Lord Jesus Christ that we can come before the Father. Our relationship with Jesus gives us so much favor, that when the Father sees us, He sees Jesus! Meditate on this for a moment, take in what Jesus has done for you!

Hebrews 7:25 tells us: "Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."  This is so powerful! Jesus has the job of intercession in heaven! When we pray in the Name of Jesus, our prayers go up as sweet smelling incense in golden vials before the Father. Jesus is praying for us, and God hears and answers our prayers. Sometimes the answer takes time, there are events that must occur for our good before the request can come to pass. Sometimes there are things we must do in the natural, like take medicine, or work for our money! God also calls us to maturity, so when we pray, we will pray according to His will for us. His will is always for good. Jesus said in Luke 11:11 "Which of you Fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him."  This verse tells us that as with anything we ask of the Father, He will give good.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this month, let us praise God for all He has done, and is doing in our lives. If we are waiting for answers to prayers, let us be encouraged because all of heaven is working on our behalf. Let us pray: Father, in Jesus Precious Name, we thank you for all you have done and are doing. Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your only Son to come to live with us, to go through the things we do so that He can always say "I know what you are going through" and for His obedience to the death on the Cross so that we can have salvation and healing. Praise You Father, we love You and bless You! Amen!

God bless you!
