“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.” (Psalm 122:6)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are fine, and excited over new ministry openings and beginnings! You will hear more as the events come to pass. As we enter into a new season, we thank God for new beginnings in every area! School has begun and students are given the opportunity to make this a wonderful year of learning! As the air grows crisp, and the leaves turn into magnificent colors, we are reminded that God is a Majestic God, Who creates and makes all things new and beautiful! Praise God!

On Sunday, October 7th, churches throughout the whole world will be praying for the peace of Jerusalem. I want to thank those of you who called to let me know that your church will be praying! This is a mandate from God, it is in the Bible, and you will be blessed as the Word says! We are to pray for the whole Middle East, for God’s protection, and for its’ enemies to be scattered, cornered, and captured. The Hezbollah terrorists are nothing for God to handle! Iran is nothing for God! Pray for all to come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they may turn from their wicked ways and be healed of all their hatred. Pray for God to surround Israel, and the Middle East with His angels for protection! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Zechariah prophecies in Chapter 14:4 “And in that day His feet will stand on the Mt. Of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east...” Glory! Someday, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will come down from heaven and His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, from which He ascended into heaven! Isn’t this enough to think of to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem?  Please pray for me, and for Eagles Wings ministry as we tour the Holy Land as you are reading this letter. Rev. Robert Stearns will conduct the official Day to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem ceremony while we are there, so I will tell you all about it next month.  Thank you! If you have Satellite, Direct TV, you will be able to see the ceremony on the station God TV, number 365. Check your listing for the time.

We have been going through some tough times lately! All around us, we see things happening! We are at war, there are rumors of more wars, and the earth seems to be groaning with all the disasters that have taken place. The bridge collapse in Minnesota was horrific, totally unexpected, there have been monsoons, earthquakes, floods, and fire... What does this all mean? Jesus speaks about the end times as he sat on the Mt, of Olives with His Disciples, in Matthew chapter 24. He warns us of these times, so we are to be aware of them. He also says  to beware of those who will come and say that they are the Christ. (Vs. 5) We are not to be deceived, we are to be alert and know Who our Lord and Savior is.”Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” (Vs.11)  Islam states that Allah is God, and their aim is to bring the world to worship their Allah by destruction of the nations who serve the Living God. However, vs. 13 tells us “but he who endures to the end shall be saved.” We are to stand firm in our beliefs and be soldiers and witnesses for Christ! Do you remember the song “Onward Christian Soldiers?” I remember singing that song as a child, and stating to God that I wanted to be a soldier in His army!

These are tough times, but we have within us, the God of the Universe! Jesus lives in you and me, and He will show Himself strong on our behalf! We do not have to be afraid because He is for us! “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom. 8:31). Glory!

We are to be soldiers, with our eyes focused on the Prize...knowing that if we are faithful to the end, we will spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom. 8:37) No matter how tough things get, keep your eyes on Jesus! Know that He loves you, more than you can imagine. After all, He did give up His life for you on the Cross, and his Word says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” (John 15:13). This is the season to step out and be a fierce warrior, and face the enemy with boldness! There is nothing that can take away the love that Jesus has for us, and as we go forward marching on to victory we will see the salvation of our loved ones. We will see lives changed for the glory of God. It is time for action! We are to get in our prayer closet and pray! Intercede for the Nations, intercede for souls to be saved, intercede for revival in our land! We are to make our voices heard where injustice is done! Speak out! Speak up for the widows and the orphans, and the poor! Speak out, where you see legislature going in the wrong direction! Speak out for life, for families, for health insurance, for freedom of religion! As Christians, we have been basically silent, allowing laws to be passed that are ungodly. It is time for our voices to be heard!

It is time for Christians to love one another, and help one another. As disasters occur, and as the world shakes under the events of the times, let us reach out to help one another! Let us be there to listen, to encourage, to be a friend. It is time to get out of our homes and churches and see that the harvest is in the streets. Yes, we must assemble with one another weekly for church services, and attend prayer meetings and Bible studies! This is how we grow! But then we are to go out among them and be a shining light as soldiers under orders of the Most High God! Are you ready and willing? You will be blessed because there is nothing more important than winning souls because that involves eternity for the lives that we touch. There is nothing more important than to be that witness so that others can say, “That is what Jesus is like” when they see us! Welcome to God’s Army!

God bless you!
