“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be likea tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.” (Jeremiah 17:7,8)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are fine, and giving God praise for all the wonderful things He has done. I just want to encourage you that whatever it is that you have need of right now, place your trust in Him! He is Faithful! We have seen such miracles in the past few months! Things that we have been praying for have suddenly taken shape and our needs have been provided for, above and beyond what we could imagine. Our equipment has been upgraded to meet the needs of our growing ministry! Praise God! A mighty blessing to one of our dear partners, a member of our Board, and to all of you who have been so very faithful to give support to God’s work! He sees you, and He will reward you in ways that you cannot imagine!  This is the day! Take your leap of faith and believe God for BIG things! Nothing is too hard for Him!

As I sit in my office working on this new equipment, my thoughts go back to the days when we first started, 19 years ago. I was the assistant director then, and the head of the intercessory prayer ministry. We had 50 prayer chain captains then, who would pass on the requests  to their team of 10 intercessors. Many of you will remember this! I would write out all the prayer requests, sending different ones to different captains, and they would pass them on to their team. I am in awe of how God orchestrated all this with no equipment other than a pen and an old copy machine!  In 1996 when I became the vice-president, my daughter, Geri Damone, donated her used Tandy Computer to us. Her idea was to begin an online prayer ministry with her brand new computer. I was so nervous using that Tandy! I taught myself to type, and then how to work with the large floppy disks that you had to insert in order to use the machine. Our volunteers come in to address our envelopes, we had no mailing labels then. Soon afterwards,  God prompted me to send an encouraging letter to our intercessors every month, and by then we had over 1000 intercessors on our mailing list. Our prayer chain ministry soon received the name “Agape Prayer Net, Watchmen Battalion.”  Geri’s online prayer ministry grew tremendously during that time, and today we have over 28,000 intercessors who pray for the needs of our callers to the Hope Connection Helpline, along with those who send in prayer requests to . Praise God!

Recently CHN took  another leap of faith to help the Christian television station, God TV, with our prayer line. Suddenly we needed more volunteers and updated equipment to handle the increased ministry. Our needs have been met, praise God, and now we are praying in new workers. If you received our flyer last month, I urge you to pray about volunteering on the phones. It is a wonderful ministry, and you will be blessed! God has initiated this ministry, and He sees to it that every volunteer receives His anointing when on the phones. Every day I hear reports of how God stepped in on a call and showed Himself strong! Love for Him and a desire to honor Him with service to His people is all you need for Him to equip you for your calling. Pray about it, and call me!

When I think back, I am in awe of Who God is. Only He can orchestrate all this! And I want to encourage you right now to think of what you are in need of. There is nothing too hard for Him! What have you been praying for? Is it for healing? For your children? For a job? For a mate? For a new home? Finances? Salvation for loved ones? Whatever it is, write a list and pray for God to meet those needs. Set aside serious prayer time every day, even if it is only for 15 minutes. Prostrate yourself before Him, and worship Him in spirit and in truth. Totally release all your anxieties to Him! Tell Him how you feel! Yes, He already knows how you feel, but He wants you to come to terms with it so that you can express yourself and see exactly what you need. Sometimes our anxiety clouds our minds so that we can not see clearly what is needed in our situation. We don’t know how to respond, or how to change what needs to be changed. Or even if we are supposed to do anything! It is during these times that we should also examine our motive for the things we are praying for. (Vs. 10)  Are they to glorify God? Are we living right, the way we should, or is there sin in our life? Does something need to be changed first before we can get to the next step? What would Jesus say to us if we asked Him this question? If there is something that needs to be changed, then let us do it! Let us not allow sin to give leeway to the devil to hold back blessings that are rightfully ours! Let us confess any known sin, and ask for forgiveness, and then move on from there.

It is during these times of pain or uncertainty  that we should cry out to God and still praise Him in spite of the circumstances! Jeremiah cries out “Heal me O Lord, and I will be saved for You are the One I praise.” (Vs. 14) He tells God “You are my refuge in the day of disaster.” (Vs. 17) He is our Refuge! He is our Hope! Let us come before Him, and in all honesty and truth lay ourselves bare before Him. He already knows our heart, there is nothing that we can hide from Him. There is no one on this earth who knows us better than our Heavenly Father, and no one on this earth who loves us more than Him! When we cry out to our Father in pure abandonment, totally open and totally honest and free, He is able to work on our behalf. He is more than able to meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory! He is more than able to save your children, meet your finances, heal your body, heal your marriage, and more! He is more than able to take you from humble beginnings to greater heights in Him, bringing you from glory to glory! He is more than able to equip you for service in His army! Let us pray...Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, I come on behalf of this reader and ask You to hold this reader in Your loving arms. Father, touch this person right now, and pour out Your love upon him or her in a powerful way. Encourage this reader to press in and hold on to Your promises, and rise up to all that You have called this reader to be and do! Meet the needs that are on his or her heart, and impart a fresh new creative spirit in this reader, one that will rise up to greater heights in You, for Your glory! Amen!

God bless you!
