Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize. Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” (1 Cor. 9:24

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are fine, and are looking forward to the first Sunday of this month as we join with the rest of the world and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Ps. 122:6) Every year, under Eagles’ Wings Ministry with Rev. Robert Stearns, churches around the world take a portion out of their service to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Can you imagine how powerful that is? If we look at it, just about every time zone is covered in prayer that day! Israel and the Middle East needs our prayers. There is so much going on now, and if we look at end time prophecies, we can see what is unfolding right before our eyes. Please ask your pastor to pray on Oct. 7th and join with us. Let me know that your church is participating! As the United States Coordinator for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, I am here to answer any questions you may have regarding this. Visit and sign your church up, saying, “yes! We will join churches worldwide and pray!”

We all have a race to run in this life. Sometimes that race really takes its toll on us, doesn’t it? Life is made up of good times and bad, and sometimes it seems to really feel like we are hitting a wall the way a runner does when running in a race. We feel as if something is holding us back; it is as if we are at a standstill and cannot move on! When an athlete trains for a race he or she will tell you that this is a natural experience, it is expected. Our body can go so much, and then it reaches the area where we need to push and push hard! What a glorious victory it is when we overcome that obstacle! In order to gain that victory, the athlete has to work hard, practice self control and discipline. He or she has to watch what foods are eaten, stay away from too much sugar and certainly greasy foods. Exercise is a must, and a proper amount of sleep at night. While others are staying up late and partying, the athlete sets his or her eyes on the goal, the prize. A whole life is changed and the goal is to win that prize!

As Christians, we receive Jesus into our life, we devour His Word and apply it to our life! We see that our life also must change. We can no longer live by the rules of the “world.” Others may see this as being boring, but to us it is pure joy! Life as a Christian is never boring! Those special times of being in the Lord’s Presence is powerful! There is nothing on earth like it! Knowing that He is with us and for us gives us courage and hope in times of trouble. Where the world sees hopelessness, we see hope! Where the world says there is no real joy, we know differently! Our joy comes from the Lord, and no one, and nothing can ever take that away! We have a hope and a future! Jeremiah 29:11 tells us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Glory! Therefore, we should be walking around with a smile on our face, offering what we have to others! What the world gives cannot compare to what Jesus gives! We press in to our high calling in Him because we know that where the world fails, Jesus never fails. We know that we have life eternal, and that someday we will be with Him and live with Him forever and ever in heaven. We know that if we press in, and do not give in to the worlds way of thinking; if we run our race to win the prize, we will win above and beyond what anyone could possibly think of or imagine. If we say no to sin, if we say no to bad relationships, if we say no to drunkenness or lust, or anything that may come our way to entice us, then we have won the prize, the hope of Glory, the victory of being face to face with the One who loves us so much.

Once we have truly received Jesus into our heart; once we have truly set our eyes on Him, then the things of this world will not matter anymore. The things that drew us into bad relationships or sin, can no longer have their hold on us. Yes, there are times when, in weakness, we may take a look at those things. This is why we run the race, this is why we keep pressing in, this is why we hold on to the things of God, and study His Word to show ourselves approved. This is the race we are in. The runner feeds his body well, and exercises. As Christians we feed our soul well, and our exercise is to do the will of God. Jesus said “Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of the Father abides forever.” (1 John 15) Therefore, when things turn our heads, or entice us to the wrong direction, which way will we go? Will we be like the runner who gives up and says “this is too hard” or will we press in and run the race to receive the prize?

This world is not for sissies, It is for the brave, for those who will learn and grow and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. It is for those who will press in and run hard no matter how it hurts. It is for those who will look to the Prize and keep on following the One who is cheering us on, Who is clapping His hands, and shouting “Go child!! I am with you, even to the end of the age! Greater is He that is within you, than he that is in the world! I am in you and for you, and no weapon formed against you can prosper! Victory belongs to you. Keep on keeping on! Whatever you are going through will pass! Nothing lasts forever! The only thing that lasts forever is My love and care for you! I am here at the finish line, ready to give you your prize! I want to hold you and hug you and bring you into eternity with Me. I want you to see the splendors of heaven and all that I have for you. Never give up! Read My Word, receive it in your spirit, and hold on to it! I love you with an everlasting love! You are precious to Me! Come child, run!

God bless you!
