"And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name I will do it." (John 14:24,25)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. We are all fine, and busy with our prayer lines. On Sunday, October 6th, hundreds of thousands of churches worldwide will be offering up prayers for the Peace of Jerusalem. This is a powerful time of prayer as we bombard heaven on behalf of the Jewish people and Israel. God tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Ps. 122:6 and this comes with a promise if you read on. This is how important it is to God, that He will bless those who bless Israel! So, if you want to be blessed, pray for the peace of Jerusalem and believe that if we ask anything in His Name, Jesus will do it.

I was blessed to visit Israel with Robert Stearns and Eagles' Wings ministry in 2007. I cannot ever forget the emotion that I felt when we landed there, and the door opened up to leave the plane. I looked over at the land and I wept. I could not speak, I was at that point seated in heavenly places seeing and feeling God's heart for the people and the land. This was where my beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, was born and raised and for three years walked the streets and climbed mountains to minister healing and salvation to the people! As I walked the streets I could not help thinking, could it be that Jesus, walked right there, in that spot? Did he heal a blind man there? Did he heal the woman with the issue of blood? Were crowds following him there? People followed him in large crowds crying out for healing and mercy! Jesus taught His Disciples there, and He made it known that we could ask anything in His Name and He would do it so that His Father would be glorified in Him.

We traveled from one end to the other end of Israel. It is so amazing, Israel is about the size of New Jersey, a tiny, little piece of land, and yet it is fought over, targeted by militants, and suffers rocket blasts every single day by those who want the land, and want to destroy the Holy Places where Christ was born, lived, and died. This is the place where Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried. This is where He Rose from the dead and set the captives free!  This is where He appeared to His Apostles and so many after Rising from the Dead! The Apostles were praying in the Upper Room and Jesus stood in their midst and said "Peace be to you. As the Father sent Me I also send you" (John 20:19,20) This was when Jesus commissioned the Apostles, and then we read on where the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles on the Day of Pentecost!

This really excites me!  This is where the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles as they prayed in the Upper Room. They were praying in the Upper Room and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-3) Wow! From there the Gospel of Jesus Christ was spread throughout the world. If we ask now to be Baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus will do it. He waits because Holy Spirit is Gentle, He will not come unless we ask. It is Holy Spirit who gives us the power we need to proclaim the Gospel wherever we go. He opens doors for us to spread the Good News. He will guide us if we only ask!  If you have not asked for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you can do so right now! Just say this little prayer.

"Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into my life as my Lord and Savior. I love You, and I want to serve You with all my heart and soul. I thirst for and want the power of  Holy Spirit to give me all that I need to be a witness for You. I want to be Baptized and filled with Holy Spirit, and I ask for this now for Your Glory. Holy Spirit, You are welcome in me, fill me, and use me for God's glory.  Give me Your Gifts so that I can serve God in Spirit and in Truth. Thank You Jesus for all You have done. Thank You Holy Spirit that You now live in me, and empower me to serve God and be a blessing through Your Gifts. Amen."

We went to the Upper Room when I was there, and the anointing was so strong in there that one could hardly stand up! It is easy to understand just how powerful that Anointing had to be on that day, and where Peter went out and preached to thousands of people about the Risen Christ. The Disciples looked like they were drunk because the power of the Holy Spirit was so strong upon them! God gave them a heavenly language and when Peter preached that day, everyone understood what he was saying in their own language! Powerful!

We also visited the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and wept the night He was betrayed. As I sat there, gazing at an olive tree that was said to be 4,000 years old, I wondered if Jesus saw that tree with His human eyes. It was a holy place, a place where no one could speak. After about what seemed like only a few moments, but was actually an hour, we partook of Holy Communion. No one could speak... no one could think of anything but the cost...the cost... of what Jesus paid... so that we can be forgiven, and saved. So that we can enter heaven someday and see Him in all His Glory. So my friend, when Jesus tells us to ask anything in His Name so that His Father may be glorified in the Son, let us take this seriously, let us ponder upon the cost... He did it all for us. He went the extra mile, became sin who had no sin, and took our place on the Cross of Calvary. All this so that we can become family, so that we become the Body of Christ here on earth, and while under the Power of the Holy Spirit, we can be a witness and a blessing to others. Let us pray...

Father, in Jesus' Mighty Name, we thank you for all You have done for us. We thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to empower us in our walk with You! Father, we want to be a blessing to others, so we ask  Holy Spirit to give us Gifts and power to spread Your Word and encourage Your people. Fill us to the brim Lord, and use us for Your Glory. We thank you that you said if we ask, we will receive, so we receive in Your Name. Amen and Amen!

God bless you!
