“I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (Psalm 91:2)

Dear Friends,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. Our team is fine, and we are praising God for every opportunity to spread the Word of God during these troubling times. This past summer, Senator Marty Golden invited us to have a table with our brochures and flyers at our community “Summer Strolls” to introduce ourselves to the residents of Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Each year Senator Marty arranges for a “Summer Stroll,” closing off the streets of 3rd Avenue, and giving merchants, and this year, our ministry, space in the street with tables filled with literature etc. Restaurants put out their tables and chairs and people who were strolling by sat and ate outdoors. Everyone had such a good time! There was music in the streets, and families walked together smiling and enjoying it all. Teen - agers walked in groups and had such fun. Many people stopped at our table, and received the brochures and literature we gave them. We had the opportunity to pray with people, and we could tell from the tears in their eyes that they received it well. It was a peaceful, blessed time for everyone.

There is so much going on in our country, and in our world, that if not for the Lord, we could be afraid of what we see unfolding before us. This is why the Summer Stroll came at such a perfect time.

The deal with Iran, which is horrible for the United States and Israel; the horrific reports of what is going on with abortion, and so much more can easily cause us to wonder what is becoming of the world we grew up in? This month on Oct. 4th churches and prayer groups around the world will be praying for the peace of Jerusalem. If your church is not involved, please tell your pastor today that it is not too late to be a part of a world wide prayer movement. All that is required is for your church to pray on Sunday, October 4, for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6,7 tells us:

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.

Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.”

God is telling us here that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and if we do, we will prosper! That is how important this is to Him! Let us pray, not only on the first Sunday of every October, but every day! Check out

One thing we need to remember is that God is with us, He is watching over us, and

after we have prayed, we need to know that we can trust him. “The Shadow of the Almighty Vs. 1-13 in Psalm 91 tells us that when believers are afraid, they can run to a “refuge” and “fortress” which is God Himself. God’s people live in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (vs 1) No place could be more safe than there! We must trust that God will protect us in times of trouble. This does not mean that we will never face difficulties or suffer; but it does promise that we do not need to be afraid, for we are in God’s hands. “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” (Vs. 5,6) We have to know that God is for us, that He is with us, and that He watches over us. Our part is to stay close to Him. It says

Because you have made the Lord who, is my refuge, Even the most High, your dwelling place No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” (Vs. 9,10)

Glory to God! Can you just picture His mighty angels surrounding your home, you, and everyone in it? The enemy does not stand a chance! God’s mighty angels are powerful beings, and they are watching over you and me! I know this makes me feel really good!

We have to know that God is more powerful than any devil or demon, and that He laughs at them! Therefore, we already have the victory, because of what Jesus has done for us. Because of the Blood that He shed, because of His dying on the Cross for us, there is victory.

God also tells us “No weapon formed against you can prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17) So we are well covered my friend!

We serve a Mighty God who loves us with an everlasting love, “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:”Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” (Jeremiah 31:3) He will never leave us or forsake us. ...”For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you, so we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my Helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”’ (Hebrews 13: 5,6) Therefore, when we hear the news, and when we hear bad reports, let us hold on to God’s Word for us. Let us be strong, and not allow these things to cause us to be fearful or to lose sleep. As we keep close to God, and hide under His wings, we can know that He sees us and He is taking care of us. Let us enjoy each day and make the most of it. Let us tell others about Jesus and encourage them at this time. Our God Reigns!!!

Father, In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I place this reader into Your Loving Arms. I thank You that You are watching over this person and all of his or her loved ones, and drawing them all closer to You. Fill each heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your joy, and encourage this person to be strong and expectant of good things in his or her life. I ask for miracles, and answers to prayer in this life. Touch this person right now and hold this person close to Your heart. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

God bless you!
