“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9,10)

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you and your loved ones. Thank God, we are all fine and God is moving in our midst. We have welcomed new phone prayer partners, and the calls are coming in from all over the world. Can you believe school is starting already, and now we are preparing for Fall and Winter? How does this happen? Time is moving just too quickly!  I love this time of year as it is a beautiful season. The leaves on the trees turn to a gorgeous array of colors; fall flowers with their deep colors are showing their faces, and our weather turns cooler. God certainly is Creative in all He does! I imagine He has such fun as He speaks, and sees everything changing in all its beauty.

Have you ever noticed how it happens that when seasons change, God reveals more of Himself, and that certain parts of His Word in the Bible show another side of Him? I feel that the changing of seasons is the most fun and the most revealing of His Character and Nature. While He does that, it gives us new and special insights as to what He is thinking, and what He is taking us through in life.

I believe Fall is the Season to bear fruit, to harvest all that He has brought to our spirit during the spring and summer. If we have taken the time to slow down, to read His Word, to meditate, and soak in what He wants us to learn, then it will reap in a rich harvest for the next season. Many of us have held back, have been shy, or have been told all of our lives to be quiet. I grew up with “children should be seen and not heard.” I was told to be quiet, and to listen. Listening is extremely important, I definitely agree on that! That is how we learn, and that is how we respond when someone is speaking to us, or crying out in inner turmoil because of heavy duty situations. So, listening is good! We listen when people call our prayer line. We take what they are saying and pray for revelation to give them a Word of encouragement from God. We should never be too busy to really listen, which can seriously help someone who is hurting or needs to make an important decision. We should always listen well to our children so that we can know what is on their heart so that we can encourage them and give them hope and a feeling of worth. This is just too important to dismiss, as we will see as the days go on. It can be the very thing that saves a life, or saves a child from making a huge mistake in their

life.  However, the Bible  says that our words have the power of life or death! “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who live it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21) We will reap what we sow, if we sow life we will reap life.

We should be so very careful to always speak words of life. God wants to use our mouths for His glory! Jeremiah was under the impression that he was not equipped to speak, but God said differently!  The very thing He told Jeremiah goes for us too!  If we really want to be used by God, if we truly want to see people saved, if we truly want to let the world know Who He is, then we have to speak up! The important thing of course, is to always pray for Holy Spirit to give us opportunities and give us the Words to say. When He is in it, demons will tremble, God will move, lives will change, and His purposes will move forward in these lives.  This is really exciting!  If we truly seek to hear His Voice, and be used by Him, then Nations can be changed!! What we speak forth can make the difference!

If you are Born Again and Spirit-filled, know that God wants to lift you up and bring you forward so that your life will fulfill a great destiny. It does not matter how rich or poor you are. It does not matter if you are a senior citizen, it does not matter if you are a child or a teenager! God can and will use you for His glory if you surrender to Him and allow Him to take over. Let Him use your voice! Ask for His wisdom and the words to speak and He will honor that and fill your mouth. Believe it or not, no one can be shyer than I am. But I can see in my own life the times that God over powered me and filled me with His words, or filled me with His heart. I am nothing special, this is not just for me, it is for everyone who wills it. Ask of Him! Ask Him to walk side by side with you all day. Ask Him to show you the things that He is concerned about. Ask Him to give you a Word in season to encourage someone, and He will do it because this is His will for you! When you enter a store, greet the sales people with a smile, and ask how they are. I have done that many times and ended up praying with the person right there on the spot. When you go to a restaurant, leave an encouraging tract along with your tip. If someone has served you with excellence, tell them so and thank them. Ask if they have a prayer request and offer to pray for them. You would be surprised at how many will readily accept that. My friends and I do that and it is amazing to see how people open up to let you know what needs they have. One time it was a young girl leaving for college that week, and she was very nervous about it. She cried happy tears after we prayed for her.

There is nothing more important in our Christian walk than prayer, and especially prayer to be used for His Glory. He will give us words, He will equip us when we ask of Him.

Let us pray... Father, in Jesus Mighty Name we praise You and worship You! Thank You for always listening and hearing our prayers. Father, I pray for this reader and ask that You use him or her in a mighty way for Your glory. Give this reader the words to speak life over people, life over Your church, life over the unsaved, life over circumstances. Encourage this person to open their mouth and pass along Your

blessings to all he or she meets. Thank You Father, thank you for Your love and encouragement to us all, for Your glory. Amen and Amen. God bless you!

In His Service,

Pastor Barbara
